Description:
The f-theta lens simplifies the scanning system by ensuring a linear relationship between the input scan Angle and the focal position on the plane.The series includes a 355nm fused quartz f-theta lens with short focal length.The short focal length allows the user to obtain the smallest possible spot size to improve system resolution.Fused quartz provides better optical transmission than standard n-bk7 glass, especially for UV and near ultraviolet wavelengths.The increased transmission allows the system to operate with less laser power, extending the laser life, and also reduces heat accumulation in the lens that is extended due to absorption, extending the lens life.
The introductions provide a full line of telecentric F-Theta lenses for use in scanning systems such as laser marking and 3D prototyping. Telecentric lenses are designed to eliminate the perspective error found in conventional lens systems, increasing the depth of field for focusing. The combination enhances the ability of scanning systems to handle non-flat surfaces and makes them ideal for cutting or drilling when the process must remain perpendicular to the surface, as in semiconductor and solar panel processing.
F-Theta Scanning Lenses are commonly used in laser marking, engraving, and cutting systems. Used in conjunction with a galvanometer, beam expander, and Nd:YAG or CO2 laser source, F-theta lenses are designed to provide a flat field at the image plane of the scanning system.
Our Nd:YAG F-Theta Lenses feature multiple elements for the ultimate in image resolution. An air-spaced design and high efficiency AR coatings guarantee excellent throughput and durability.
