Terms of Use

These Terms govern access to and use of the GIAI Photonics website, including its product pages, technical articles, diagrams, application information and project inquiry functions.

Effective Date August 11, 2026 Website www.giaiphotonics.com Company Giai Photonics Co., Ltd.

01Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the website.

These Terms apply to use of the website itself. A quotation, purchase order, drawing, approved specification, quality agreement or other project document may contain separate terms for a specific business transaction.

02Purpose of the Website

The GIAI Photonics website provides information about precision optical components, optical manufacturing, coatings, applications and related technical subjects. It also provides ways to contact GIAI regarding optical filters, lenses, prisms, windows, coatings and custom optical requirements.

Website content is intended to support technical evaluation and project communication. The website is not, by itself, a complete contract for the manufacture or supply of a custom optical component.

03Technical Information

Technical articles, diagrams, application examples, explanatory graphics and similar material are provided for general technical information. Optical performance is affected by the complete system, including wavelength, angle of incidence, source characteristics, detector response, material, geometry, coating design, operating environment and inspection method.

Descriptions of common optical principles or typical component behavior should therefore be evaluated against the requirements of the intended system before being used for engineering decisions.

Website information is not a project specification. General, typical or example information published on the website does not automatically become an acceptance requirement or contractual specification for a custom optical order.

04Product Information

Product pages may describe component types, materials, optical functions, application examples or representative specifications. Images and diagrams may be illustrative and may not represent the exact geometry, coating appearance, dimensions or configuration required for a specific project.

Availability, manufacturability and final performance requirements should be confirmed through the applicable project documentation before an order is placed or approved.

05Custom Specifications and Quotations

Custom optical work is defined through the documents agreed for the project. A general specification, example value, technical article or product description shown on the website does not override a project-specific requirement that has been accepted in the applicable business documentation.

For a custom optical order, the controlling requirements should be identified in the relevant documents, such as:

  1. the accepted quotation or commercial offer;
  2. the approved drawing or specification;
  3. the customer’s purchase documentation, where accepted by GIAI;
  4. inspection, quality or acceptance requirements agreed for the project; and
  5. other written project documentation agreed by the parties.

If documents conflict, the parties should resolve the conflict in writing before relying on the disputed requirement.

06Drawings and Technical Documents

You may provide drawings, specifications, samples or application information when requesting technical review or a quotation. You are responsible for making sure that you are authorized to provide those materials and that their submission does not violate the rights of another party.

Submitting technical information through the website does not, by itself, create a separate confidentiality, exclusivity, development or intellectual-property agreement. Any such obligations should be established in the applicable written agreement or other legally binding arrangement.

07Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and its original text, photographs, graphics, diagrams, page design and other website content are owned by or licensed to GIAI and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view and use website content for legitimate evaluation of GIAI products, services and technical information. No ownership right is transferred to you by access to the website.

08Permitted Use

You may access the website for lawful personal, educational, engineering, procurement and business-evaluation purposes. Reasonable internal sharing of links or short extracts for project discussion is permitted where applicable law allows it and the source is not misrepresented.

09Prohibited Use

You must not use the website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful to the website or intended to interfere with other users. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • attempting to gain unauthorized access to website systems, accounts or administrative functions;
  • introducing malicious code or deliberately disrupting website operation;
  • misrepresenting GIAI content, technical data or company identity;
  • removing copyright or proprietary notices from copied material where such copying is otherwise permitted; or
  • using automated methods at a volume or frequency that materially interferes with normal website operation.

11Website Availability

GIAI may update, suspend, reorganize or remove website content as products, technical information and business needs change. Continuous access to every page or function is not guaranteed.

Temporary errors, maintenance, network interruptions or outdated cached content may affect availability or presentation.

12Disclaimers

The website is provided for general informational and business-contact purposes. GIAI makes reasonable efforts to maintain useful and accurate website content, but website information may contain omissions, typographical errors, outdated material or generalizations that do not apply to a particular optical system.

Technical decisions should be based on the requirements, calculations, tests, approvals and project documents appropriate to the specific application. Content on the website is not a substitute for project-specific engineering review, qualification or validation where those activities are required.

13Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GIAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general website information, inability to access the website, or use of a third-party website linked from this site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Rights and remedies relating to a specific order, supplied component or written agreement are governed by the documents applicable to that transaction.

14Changes to the Website and These Terms

GIAI may revise website content as technical information, products, contact methods or site functions change. GIAI may also update these Terms of Use. The effective date shown at the top of this page indicates the version currently published.

Your continued use of the website after revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
