A long pass filter (LPF) is an optical filter that transmits light (or other electromagnetic radiation) with wavelengths longer than a specified cutoff wavelength while blocking or attenuating wavelengths shorter than the cutoff. Essentially, it allows all light above the cutoff wavelength to pass through and blocks light below that threshold.
